For many years now the different plants of Schill Malz are certified according to ISO 9001:2008. This is proved and renewed by regular audits and controls.
Because food safety becomes more and more important Schill Malz has been certified as the first malting company worldwide according to the new international food safety standard ISO 22000.
Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) presented in April 2007 the certificate to all plants of Schill Malz in Worms, Muelheim/Ruhr, Huerth, Sangerhausen and Clingen. ISO 22000 is the key monitoring tool for detection and elemination of risks in the production process and fills the gap inbetween the HACCP concept and the certification according to ISO 9001:2000.
In Schill Malz the certification according to ISO 22000 is integrated into the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2000. Also the animal feed stuff production as an important part of the food chain was implemented and is part of the certificate.
|For malt from organic production Schill Malz has both a certificate of Bioland and a certificate from the European Union.
